Terms & conditions

Each chapter of our terms & conditions can be opened by clicking on them, we ask you to read them carefully.

1. General

The terms and conditions of "CMT - Casa Minniti Taormina" must be read carefully by the tenant, they are the basis of the lease for the apartment "Girasole" or "Rosmarino".

The contract is stipulated between the company EFIM s.r.l. (owner Beatrice Minniti) based in Taormina and the tenant.
The owner leaves the apartment "Girasole" for max. 4 persons or the apartment "Rosmarino" for max. 6 persons.

2. Appartments

3. Payment

The prepayment, spa tax and additional services are made exclusively in Euro (EUR). You will receive an email and/or contract which advice you to pay 30% of rent after your reservation. This payment has to be received  by no longer than 42 calendar days prior to arrival. The outstanding amount can be payed with the following credit cards (VISA, V-Pay, MasterCard, Maestro, American Express, PayPal) or in cash until 999,-- EUR on arrival. You can also make a SEPA credit transfer no longer than 5 calendar days prior to arrival. If you make a "last-minute" booking, we kindly ask you to send us a transaction copy via email. (See contract items 4, 15, 26 and 27)

4. Liability

The rental contract beginning from 01.01.2016 is only valid if the prepayment of 30% of the rental sum has been received on the landlord's bank account 42 running days prior to your start of the journey.

6. Additional services (not included)

are due on the day of arrival.

7. Access for disabled people

The apartment "Girasole" and "Rosmarino" are not suitable for people with impairments/disabilities.

8. Changing of bed linen and towels

Bed linen, bath and kitchen towels will be replaced once every week. This services will be charged separately.

9. Animals

Domestic animals are not allowed on this property.

10. Damage or missing inventory

The tenant is responsible for the integrity of the apartments inventory of "Girasole" or "Rosmarino". Damages of any kind, for example broken or slightly broken cutlery and other damages caused by own actions have to be reported and refunded to the landlord. Unjustified consumption (such as light burning all day) are charged separately.

11. Changes to the apartment

It is not allowed to drill holes into walls or to make any changes to the holiday apartment "Girasole" or "Rosmarino".

12. Non smoking apartment

It is not allowed to smoke inside the holiday apartment "Girasole" or "Rosmarino". We advise you to restrict smoking to designated areas like the terrace and use the ashtrays provided.

13. Accomodation third persons

It is not allowed to accomodate people who are not listed in the rental contract or to take in lodgers. The holiday apartment "Girasole" or "Rosmarino" are rented to persons exclusively mentioned on the rental contract.

14. Deposit

We ask the tenant to leave a deposit of 250,-- EUR in cash on arrival. The deposit will be refunded after your stay.

15. Cancellation fee

If the tenant chooses to cancel the reservation:

  • within 42 days before start of the journey:

    • he have to pay 30% of rental sum.

16. Cancellation case

If the tenant is not able to start the journey on the stated date, it is advised to notice the landlord as soon as possible.

17. Identification

We ask to provide identification for all tenants on arrival.

18. Minimum booking time

The minimum stay is six consecutive nights (seven running days).

19. Arrival/departure time

We ask to provide the time of arrival and departure via application form, e-mail, phone, fax or sms on your arrival in Taormina.

  • "Girasole" or "Rosmarino" must be leaved in a clean state not after 10:00 am
  • You may check in at the earliest at 04:00 pm

If desired you are allowed to set aside your baggage in our establishments while away.

20. Rental contract

The rental contract and terms & conditions have to be approved by both parties, the EFIM s.r.l. and the tenant, prior to the start of the journey.

The tenant acknowledges by his signature to have fully read the terms & conditions. He will receive a copy of the rental contract including a final account prior to the start of the journey.

Regarding multiple families, couples or friends: The apartment "Girasole" or "Rosmarino" will only be rented to one contracting party who will take sole responsibility and liability.

21. WiFi use

The tenant receives an additional contract (appendix B) whe nmoving in where he acknowledges the appropriate usage of the WiFi provided.

22. Severability clause

If individual terms & conditions show up to be non-efficient or inoperable - due to amendments past the contract closing for example - the residual terms and the validity of the rental contract remain unaffected.

23. Privacy

We value the security of your private information like address, phone number or e-mail and the protection of your privacy highly. It is self-evident for us to abide the privacy laws specified by the Federal Republic of Germany and process your private data as highly confidential and purposive.

We will use, store or process your data only as far as you, the Teleservices Data Protection Act or the Federal Data Protection Act allow or mandate.

You have the right to obtain information about your stored data as well as the right to correct, block and delete.

24. Jurisdiction

In disputes, the court of Messina has jurisdiction.
